18" (46 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head of lady with heart-
shaped face,elongated throat,sculpted hair in elaborate
coiffure with exaggerated pouf curls at the sides and an
elaborately knotted topknot,painted turquoise-blue
eyes,black upper eyeliner,single-stroke brows,accented
nostrils,closed mouth,slender kid body with wooden lower
limbs,painted orange flat shoes,early cotton gown with
attached apron,undergarments. Condition: generally
excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1840. Value Points:
superb coiffure on the rare large early doll with well-
preserved original finish and original body.
