14" (36 cm.) Very firm composition socket head with
painted brown eyes in deeply-set eye sockets,heavily-
lidded eyes,brown upper eyeliner,tinted brows,accented
nostrils,closed mouth,brunette mohair wig with coiled side
braids,composition and wooden ball-jointed body,wearing
original folklore costume of woolens and silk,with
original shoes incised "2". Condition: generally
excellent. Comments: presented by Marian Kaulitz at a 1908
doll art exhibition in Munich,Germany,and thereafter known
as Munich Art Doll,the series is considered the premiere
dolls of the German art character reform movement of the
next five years. Value Points: rare model in wonderful
original condition,with very appealing wistful
expression,original wig,body,and costume.
