Description
8" (20 cm.) diam. The lithographed tin plate has a border
depicting children tossing snowballs with large brown
bears,and a center image of Marie Peary,daughter of
Admiral Peary; stamped on reverse "Presented and copyright
1907 The Union Pacific Tea co". The plate celebrates
Admiral Peary's 1905/1906 expeditions to the North
Pole,Along with three rare hardbound books,Snowland Folk
by Robert Peary (Stokes 1904),The Snow Baby by Josephine
Peary (Stokes,1901),and Children of the Arctic by the Snow
Baby and her Mother (Stokes,1903) which celebrated Peary's
earlier expeditions (not shown).
