17" (43 cm.) Pink-tinted bisque socket head,light-brown sculpted hair with details of little curls at the forehead and her sculpted ears,her hair drawn into two long braids which are interwoven at her nape,and highlighted by a glazed aqua-blue sculpted ribbon and bow,deeply-sculpted facial features,intaglio upper glancing eyes with pronounced black pupils and white eyedots,brush-stroked short brows,accented nostrils on rounded nose,closed mouth modeled as though open with broad generous smile,beaded upper and lower tiny teeth,Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists,wearing pretty antique cotton dress with black velvet ribbon trim,undergarments,socks and shoes. Condition; generally excellent,one tiny cheek rub. Marks: Heubach (square) 8050 Germany (and green numbers). Comments: Gebruder Heubach,circa 1910. Value Points: the great rarity of the model is rivaled by the exemplary and outstanding sculpting of facial planes and laughter dimples and creases.
