Description
16" (41 cm.) All cloth doll with hard-pressed and painted
facial features and hair,separate face mask (whose seam
runs over the top of the head,behind the ears and under
the chin),three back of head seams and two chin seams,with
press-sculpted ears,small painted blue eyes with
pronounced black pupils,tiny white eyedots,black and brown
upper eyeliner small flattened seamless nose,closed
mouth,plump body,stitch- jointed arms,center seam inside
palm,separately-stitched thumb,five-seam very plump legs
with disc-jointed hips,rounded feet,sewn ankles,wearing
antique white ribbon cotton suit. Condition: generally
excellent,original finish. Marks: #669 (left foot).
Comments: Kathe Kruse,earliest period model,circa 1910.
Value Points: very rare model is wonderfully-preserved
with especially beautiful painting of eyes.
