18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head,blue glass sleep eyes,lushly-painted lashes,brush-stroked
arched brows,shaded nostrils,open mouth with shaded and accented lips,six porcelain
teeth,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French composition and wooden fully-
jointed body with pull-string "mama" crier. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Tete
Jumeau 8 (head). Comments: Emile Jumeau,circa 1896 when this sleeping eye mechanism was
introduced; the doll was offered by Au Louvre department store as indicated by the partial
original box included. Value Points: beautiful original state of preservation,original
wig,pate,earrings,chemise,shoes marked "Paris Bebe 8" with bee symbol.
