18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head with flat-cut neck socket and unique attachment allowing
head to pivot realistically side-to-side rather than completely around,on bisque shoulder
plate,plump facial modeling,cobalt blue enamel inset eyes,painted lashes,feathered
brows,mauve eye shadow,closed mouth with accented lips,unpierced ears,blonde mohair wig
over cork pate,chignon at back of head captured in a black snood,stretched-kid-over-wooden
body with dowel-jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips and knees,bisque lower arms and hands.
Condition: generally excellent,three fingers restored. Marks: Simonne Passage Delorme,Rue de
Rivoli 188 Paris (torso). Comments: Circa 1865,the Maison Simonne,considered one of the
most prestige doll shops in Paris,commissioned exclusive dolls for its clientele,each bearing
the name of the shop. Value Points: rarity factors including distinctive neck swivel,kid-over-
