inset eyes,highly-defined sculpting of facial features,open mouth,teeth,hair brows and remnants
of original hair wig,firmly-padded armature body,carved wooden lower arms,hands and feet.
Condition: generally excellent,one thumb chipped. Comments: Germany,18th century. Value
Points: outstanding carving with expressive features and rich complexion,enamel eyes,and
superb majestic costume of hand-stitched velvets and silks with hand-painted detail of faux-
ermine trim,bead and silver thread trim,padded silk cap with gold and silver beading,highly-
