16" (41 cm.) h. 16"l. A bisque-headed boy with blue glass eyes,mohair lashes,painted
features,open mouth,four teeth,blonde mohair wig carton torso and lower legs,hinged
hips,wearing original blue velvet suit is attached to the wooden poles of a wooden farm cart with
two metal wheels; seated on the bench of the farm cart is a smaller bisque-head girl with blue
glass eyes,mohair lashes,open mouth,four teeth,blonde mohair wig,wearing original blue silk
dress. A mechanism is contained in the boy's torso and,when wound,he scampers briskly
forward,pulling the cart behind him. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SFBJ 301 Paris (both
dolls). Comments: Roullet et Decamps,circa 1910. Value Points: the endearing and timeless play
is well-presented in the all-original mechanical toy which operates well.
