Description
18" (46 cm.) Pale bisque shoulder head with plump face,cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered brows,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with center accent line,original firmly-stuffed poupee body with shapely kid torso and one-piece limbs,stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent,tiny flake at crown rim and faint 1" forehead hairline under coiffe. Comments: French,circa 1860,probably Blampoix. Value Points: beautifully- preserved poupee with gorgeous bisque and eyes,near mint body,is wearing her original multi- layered nun's habit of white wool and cotton,woolen petticoats,rosary.
