18" (46 cm.) doll. 23" x 21" case. Wax over papier-mache shoulder head,blue glass sleep eyes
that operate from a wire lever that is accessible from the underside of the cabinet,painted facial
features,closed mouth,brunette mohair wig in ringlet curls,fabric body with kid leather
arms,separately-stitched fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: England,maker
unknown,circa 1850. Value Points: the doll is presented in her original glass front cabinet with
papered and curtained interior,wearing her original muslin gown with lace trim,aqua silk
ribbons,aqua kidskin slippers,woven straw bonnet.
