17" (43 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,grey glass enamel inset
eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with accented
lips,pierced ears,brunette mohair wig over cork pate,kid torso and legs with gusset-jointing at
hips and knees,wooden fully-articulated arms with dowel-jointing at shoulders,elbows and
wrists,charming antique costume. Condition: generally excellent excepting small reglue at
bottom back neck socket. Marks: E. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru,circa 1872,the firm's deposed
smiling face model. Value Points: beautiful expression and bisque,original body with wooden
arms,well-accessorized costume.
