Description
9 1/2" (24 cm.) Carved wooden head with angular shape,well-defined features,sculpted hair with
long curls drawn into a double-looped chignon at the back crown and with long curls extending
onto her shoulders,firmly-padded torso and upper limbs,carved wooden lower limbs with
painted stockings and shoes. Condition: generally excellent,repair at right ankle. Comments:
probably Germany or Austria,early 19th century. Value Points: artistically-sculpted lady wearing
her original silk costume with detailed lace fichu and embroidered apron and matching cap.
