17" (43 cm.) x 13". The lightwood box with green marbled paper cover has gilt lettering on the lid "Mon Gouter" and hinges open to well-fitted interior,highlighted by a samovar-like arrangement of silver coffee or tea pot on stand,designed for easy pouring,the pot with wooden handle. Included are large tray with shell edging,six silver cups with glass liners,four softpaste cups and saucers,five silver spoons,fringed napkins,tea strainer,most still tied to box with original rose silk ribbons. Excellent condition excepting two broken cup handles. French,circa 1890,rare to find pot style,and original presentation.
