Description
10" (25 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with painted facial features,blue eyes,black eyeliner,painted
lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with center accent line,blonde mohair
wig. The head is arranged on a cardboard box which inserts into the top of a hollow cylinder
"swaddling body" which serves as a candy container when the head is removed. Condition:
generally excellent,some dustiness. Comments: French,circa 1870,the candy box was a luxury
presentation gift at baby showers or Christening event. Value Points: rare candy box with original
silk,lace and ribbon decoration,pull-string "mama" crier.
