Description
21" (53 cm.) Wax-over-papier-mache shoulder head of adult lady with slender oval face and
elongated throat,brown enamel eyes,feathered brows,tiny closed mouth,sculpted bonnet,blonde
mohair wig,muslin body with wooden lower limbs,painted orange boots. Condition: good/very
good,some craquelure,original finish. Comments: Germany,circa 1860. Value Points: the sculpted
hat has original green flocked finish with feather and emblem and is jauntily affixed to her head
with blonde arranged curls peeking out the sides,and an affixed firm circlet at the back with
original snood over blonde mohair curls,wearing original (frail) costume to match the bonnet.
The doll has a blue ribbon from 1979 UFDC convention.
