10" (25 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with sculpted short brown curly hair,painted blue eyes,red and black upper eyeliner,single stroke brows,closed mouth,carton torso and cone-shaped lower torso designed to appear as though it is her skirt,but is actually containing the walking mechanism,brass feet,kid arms. Condition: generally excellent,mechanism functions well. Marks: Patented July 15th,1862; also in Europe 20 Dec. 1862 (bottom of skirt). Comments: Autoperipatetikos from the patent designs of Enoch Rich Morrison,circa 1865,marketed by Martin & Runyon. Value Points: the doll is wearing her original costume and is preserved in her original (worn) box.
