27" (69 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial features,brown side-glancing eyes
with painted eyedots,fringed lashes and brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with wide
beaming smile,row of painted teeth,red mohair braided wig,muslin torso and elongated legs,felt
arms modeled bent at the elbows. Condition: costume very good with few moth holes and slight
dust,face has smudge on left cheek. Comments: Lenci,the doll appeared in their 1926 catalog as
model 269,named "Sonja". Value Points: rare model with extraordinary costume in vivid colors
with rich and imaginative designs,white cotton undergarments and hoop,red boots,embroidered
felt turban,yellow felt shawl with embroidered name "Sonja"; wonderful facial expression.
