Description
16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head,blue glass paperweight inset eyes,painted lashes,brush-stroked
brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,cork-
covered torso,wooden arms and legs with jointing at shoulders,hips and knees,bare feet,metal
hands. When wound,the doll moves arms and legs back and forth in a realistic swimming motion.
Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Elie Martin deposed the doll in 1876,with registered
name "Ondine". Value Points: amusing mechanical doll functions perfectly,wears original costume
and cap.
