Description
9 1/2" (24 cm.) The matching all-bisque pair of young girl with ruffled bonnet and young boy
with tam cap are posed as though standing upon a grassy knoll, with well-sculpted facial
features, hair, and costume, each with hands sculpted in semi-closed fist, designed to hold an
object. She holds a jump rope and appears ready to begin, and he holds a training rod,and with
downcast eyes appears to be about to train his pup. There is a hidden reglue to the base of
girl, otherwise excellent. Each bears the Heubach sunburst stamp. Germany,Gebruder
Heubach,circa 1900.
