12" (30 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of slender-faced lady with elongated throat and modeled
bosom,painted facial features,padded armature body with bisque lower limbs,painted brown
stockings and shoes. Condition: generally excellent,some silk fraility. Comments: possibly Mlle
Riera of Paris who created fashionable lady dolls of this genre,c. 1908,wearing both historic and
stylish mode; the dolls were exhibited at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris,and were
featured in a historic costume exhibition at Strawbridge and Clothier in Philadelphia in 1908.
Value Points: rare doll,wearing her original fashionable costume and accessories.
