6" (15 cm.) One-piece carved wooden head and torso,painted black hair with spit curls at sides
of face,painted tiny eyes and mouth,dowel-jointing of wooden limbs at shoulders,elbows,hips
and knees,painted shoes. Condition: generally excellent,shoe tips missing. Comments:
Grodnertal,circa 1850. Value Points: the doll wears unusual early costume of stiffened flocked
heavy paper stock decorated with snakeskin to form collar,coiffe,skirt streamers and pantalets.
