23" (58 cm.) Carved wooden head and torso with rounded facial modeling,elongated throat,rounded front torso with shapely waist,flat-back torso,carved nose,blue enamel inset eyes,"dot" fringed lashes and brows,painted closed mouth and blushed cheek spots,blonde mohair wig,attached muslin upper arms and kid lower arms with defined fingers,wooden legs with jointing at hips and knees,antique cotton print gown with lace-edged fichu,apron,sleevelets,cap with lace and silk ribbon,undergarments. Condition: generally excellent,original finish with little paint rub on lips. Comments: English,circa 1785,the style is referred to as "Queen Anne". Value Points: rare early doll with wonderful definition of personality,antique costume,fine larger size.
