Poured wax head with sculpted brown hair and very full moustache and beard,inset tiny bead eyes,painted features,firmly-wrapped cloth body,wax lower limbs and painted sandals,mounted on his original wooden stand. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: late- 18th century,Southern Germany or Italy. Value Points: exceptional original condition,well- sculpted beard and facial expression,superb silk and brocade costume with embossed gold leaf and crystal prism decorations and elaborate cap with metallic chains,pearl-beads,and faux-jewel decorations.
