5 1/2" (14 cm.) One-piece carved wooden head and block torso,painted black hair with swirled
curls around the forehead,painted brown eyes,tiny closed mouth,dowel-jointing at
shoulders,elbows,hips and knees,painted red shoes. Condition: very good,some fading of facial
features. Comments: Grodnertal,circa 1860. Value Points: the dollhouse-size doll wears his
antique scholar's costume of hand-stitched dark green cotton,including pants,shirt,long coat
with capelet collar and distinctive cap.
