Description
14" (36 cm.) including cap. A wax-over-papier-mache child with enamel glass eyes,closed mouth
and blonde mohair wig,has wooden block torso with unusual swivel waist,wooden legs posed as
though marching,wire upper arms and wooden lower arms,and is posed upon a wooden platform
with decorative paper covers and spoked wheels. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: circa
1875. Value Points: wearing his original clown costume and cap with decorative decoupage
designs,and holding a decorated parade stick with arched brass bell. When pulled along,he
pivots at the waist,causing the bell to merrily ring.
