30" (76 cm.) Solid domed papier-mache shoulder head with slender oval face and elongated
throat,black painted pate,dark enamel inset eyes,dark eyeliner,feathered brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,slightly-parted outlined lips,square-cut upper and lower
teeth,original brunette human hair wig in elaborately-braided and looped coiffure,original
commercial muslin stitch-jointed body with leather arms,stitched and separated fingers.
Condition: generally excellent,some fading of complexion,touch-up of back left
shoulder,darkened kid on lower left arm. Comments: French,probably Andreas Voit,circa
1840. Value Points: luxury size of the refined lady doll with glass eyes,teeth,fine original
wig,and wearing wonderful antique silk costume comprising silk gown,early laced
corset,petticoats,silk stockings,fine cream kidskin slippers.
