30" (76 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head with pear-shaped face,almond-shaped brown glass
paperweight inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,brush-stroked feathered brows,accented eye
corners,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined
lips,brunette human hair wig over cork pate,French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-
jointed body,fine antique costume. Condition: generally excellent,lower arms are not original
(appropriately-sized straight-wrist Jumeau). Marks: Sch (in shield) 14 (raised number) Sch (on
derriere). Comments: Schmitt et Fils,circa 1882. Value Points: very beautiful modeling,especially
of nose and chin,highlighted by subtle blushing,fine large size with excellent bisque and
painting.
