15" (38 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head depicting a young boy with exaggerated wincing
expression,having sculpted and painted blonde hair,painted nearly-closed eyes with tiny blue
pupils and white eye dots,rounded nose,"O" shaped crooked mouth,composition and wooden
ball-jointed toddler body,antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 7761 Heubach
(sunburst mark) Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach,circa 1910. Value Points: very rare
model with extraordinary sculpting,featuring wrinkles,crinkles and frowns around his
eyes,forehead and mouth,giving rise to the collector's common name for this doll as "Spinach
Boy".
