background,painted facial features,black fleeced wig,firmly-stuffed cloth body,composition
hands and feet,on original wooden base. Condition: generally excellent,man has craquelure on
chin. Marks: Khampa doll (ink lettered on base) Made in India (purple stamp). Comments: the pair
represent dolls from the Khampa region that encompasses regions of Western China,Tibet and
northern India. Value Points: wearing exceptional costumes with very elaborate detailed jewelry
and accessories.
