Description
13" (33 cm.) All-bisque figural group depict a young boy and girl posed upon a bisque rocky
knoll,he with blind fold and she trying to escape his grasp. Each has wonderful definition of hair
and costume sculpting with deeply-tousled curls, ruffles, ribbons, painted flowers and gilt
accents, while their facial expressions are well-sculpted to heighten the amusing scene: the boy's
eyes slyly peek out from under his blind fold, and the little girl has laughing expression enhanced
by deeply-impressed cheek dimples. Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1910,attributed to
Gebruder Heubach.
