Solid domed bisque socket head,large blue glass spiral threaded eyes,painted lashes,brush-stroked brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with outlined lips,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig,Sonneberg composition body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2. Comments: Sonneberg,mystery maker,circa 1882,the model was designed to resemble the early bebe of Jumeau in an effort to capture the popular French market for dolls. Value Points: very pretty closed mouth child,wearing original ivory silk dress in the French style,undergarments,socks and shoes.
