Description
16" (41 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of adult lady with oval face and slender elongated
throat,having sculpted light brown hair waved away from her face with feathering details at
the sides,captured in a cluster of arranged curls at the back,and decorated with two Dresden
roses with gilt-tipped green leaves,fully-sculpted pierced ears,almond-shaped cobalt blue
enamel eyes,black eyeliner,painted lower lashes,single stroke brows,accented nostrils and eye
corners,slightly-parted lips with rare defined tongue tip,original muslin stitch-jointed
body,bisque lower limbs,painted flat black shoes with burgundy laces,wearing exquisite
rose/ivory silk gown,undergarments,jewelry. Condition: generally excellent,very minor retouch
on two rose petals. Comments: Germany,circa 1870,attributed to C.F. Kling. Value Points:
rarity factors include glass eyes,slightly-parted lips with tongue tip,brown hair color of rare
coiffure with rare ornaments,pierced ears. The doll is featured in a full page photograph in

1983 national convention.
