14" (36 cm.) and 16". Each has papier-mache head with gofum finish,painted complexion,inset
enamel eyes,painted features,closed mouth with hint of smile,long straight black human hair
with bangs,muslin torso with bellows mama crier,muslin upper limbs,papier-mache lower arms
and legs with well-defined fingers and toes of bare feet. Condition: generally excellent.
Comments: Japanese,early 20th century. Value Points: wonderful pair of little girls wearing
original silk crepe costumes of exceptional quality with many accessories,and great facial
expression.
