parted hair with very full side burns in front of sculpted ears,sculpted features,blue upper
glancing painted eyes,accented nostrils,closed mouth with outlined lips,muslin firmly-stuffed
body,wooden lower limbs,painted shoes,wearing antique gentleman's formal wear ensemble.
Condition: generally excellent,some paint wear on shoulder plate. Comments: American,late-
19th century. Value Points: the ingenious artfulness of the folk artist contrasts with refined
presentation of the society gentleman.
