14" (36 cm.) Each is all-wooden with carved socket head,carved hair with coiled braids,intaglio-
carved eyes,painted features,all-wooden spring-jointed body,nicely costumed. Condition: with
original finishes albeit quite rubbed and worn,the paint at back of hair on larger girl is worn
away. Marks: Schoenhut Doll,Pat. Jan.17,'11 USA & Foreign Countries. Comments: Schoenhut,the
larger doll is model 103 has large blue eyes with pronounced black pupils,detailed sculpting of
hair around the forehead forming into narrow braids at the back; the smaller doll is model 102
and has small brown eyes with thickly-woven braids held by a pink bow at the back of her
head,with original Schoenhut shoes. Value Points: two rare models depict variations on a
common style.
