12" (30 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,blue glass paperweight inset
eyes,dark eyeliner,painted dark lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed
mouth with pale accented lips,pierced ears,kid bebe body with square-cut collarette,gusset-
jointed hips and knees,bisque lower arms. Condition: generally excellent,lower arms are antique
albeit not original. Marks: F 5 G (block letters,head and shoulders). Comments: Gaultier,circa
1878,the earliest model of the Gaultier bebe with block letter marking and very rare original kid
body. Value Points: compelling yet gentle presence,the little bebe wears fine antique aqua
cashmere and velvet dress,undergarments,aqua kidskin shoes,and very delicate silk and lace
bonnet.
