Description
14" (36 cm.) h. The wooden piano with ebony finish and elephant-shaped cast iron legs has a
display cabinet at the top with mirrored back that contains six miniature porcelain dolls. When
the keys are played,a mechanism connects with the dolls which dance about. The piano is labeled
"Gem" with gilt lettering,and has decoupage decorations. Very good condition,mechanism
functions well,costumes a bit frail,finish on keys is worn. The enchanting American toy was
patented in 1881 and is very rare to find.
