Description
16" (41 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,blue glass enamel eyes,dark
eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with
outlined lips,pierced ears,all-wooden body with dowel articulation at
shoulders,elbows,wrists,hips,knees and ankles,and wooden ball pivot at waist,nicely costumed in
grey serge walking suit,undergarments,silk bonnet and leather boots. Condition: generally
excellent,tiny original firing mark at side lip,body is excellent but is not original. Marks: 4.
Comments: Gaultier,circa 1875,with Bru deposed wooden poupee body. Value Points: lovely
presence with fine bisque,and very rare body.
