7" (18 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with sculpted purple cap having upturned edges and trimmed
with black edging,darkest brown sculpted short curls,sculpted ears,painted facial features,blue
eyes,muslin body,bisque lower limbs,cotton gown. Condition: generally excellent,very tiny flake
at black edging may be original. Comments: Germany,circa 1880. Value Points: very rare model
with exquisite detail of facial modeling,folds of bonnet,and stippling of hair. The doll is shown
with detailed description in Evelyn Ackerman's Dolls in Miniature,page 92.
