Description
19" (48 cm.) The one-room wooden caravan with wooden wheels has a back porch with
columns and railing, filled with wooden-potted flowers (with metal and wooden lawn mower).
There are two windows at each side of the caravan with green painted shutters and original
curtains. One side hinges open at mid-wall to form an upper front roof while the bottom half
of the wall folds down to reveal a sample of the peddler wares. The one-room interior is fitted
with a curved display shelf with paper lithograph cover in the same pattern as the wall
papers, and the floor is covered with lithographed paper to simulate wood. The shelf, floor and
walls are filled with a bounty of antique peddler wares. A bisque head dollhouse gent with
original costume stands in attendance. Very good condition, one corner edge of roof has wood
chip, original finishes and papers overall, albeit some fading and rubs. Germany,Moritz
Gottschalk, circa 1910,a very rare model by that firm with wonderful contents.
