13" (33 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,brown sculpted hair with
two thickly-woven braids at the back of head centered by full curls and decorated by a sculpted
lavender hair bow,blue glass inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with piquant smile,center accent line on lips,ears pierced
into head,original firmly-stuffed muslin body,bisque lower limbs,painted grey boots with black
tips and buttons. Condition: restoration at the left lower throat (under velvet ribbon),otherwise
excellent. Comments: Simon and Halbig,circa 1870. Value Points: gorgeous doll with rare brown
hair and lavender ribbon,glass eyes,wearing fine antique costume over original body,and holding
her own little all-bisque doll with sculpted hair,also by Simon and Halbig.
