Description
6 1/2" (17 cm.) All-bisque doll has swivel head with sculpted short curly hair including forelock curl, blue glass sleep eyes, lightly-painted lashes and brows, open mouth two lower teeth, loop-jointed arms and legs of toddler body, painted white socks and pink one-strap shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bonnie babe Copr. by Georgene Averill (original paper label on chest). Comments: Germany, circa 1920, from the original design by the American doll artist Georgene Averill. Value Points: very fine modeling of hair and impressed cheek dimples, included with the doll are its many hand-sewn costumes including undergarments, dresses, slips, pillow and blankets.
