Description
7" (18 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with sculpted light-brown hair,moustache and full
beard,sculpted age furrows in face,painted blue downcast eyes,painted brows,muslin body with
bisque lower limbs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1890. Value Points:
rare square-shaped beard and twirled moustache in rare color,wearing original military
costume,cap and sword. The doll is shown in Evelyn Ackerman's Dolls in Miniature,page
236,described as having "a serious expression...implying a dedicated professional".
