Description
3" (8 cm.) h. chairs. Five-piece matched set of dollhouse-sized furnishings are of tin with yellow
lithographed finish having black silhouette designs inspired by the early child's book
illustrations. Each piece is designed with access to the hollow interior which served as a candy
container. Included is pedestal table,rocking chair,sideboard and two straight chairs. Very
good/excellent. Each piece is labeled Flossie Fisher's Funnies and the back of chairs are stamped
"Geo Borgfeldt & Co,New York N.Y. Serial Number 2862 Net Wt 1/2 oz". The Flossie Fisher
Funnies,drawn by American artist Helen Nyce appeared in the Ladies Home Journal,circa 1911.
