Description
5" (13 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of slender-faced lady,brown sculpted hair waved smoothly
around her face and captured in a modeled snood with pageboy curls,painted facial
features,muslin body,bisque lower limbs,painted rose stocking ties,black shoes. Condition:
generally excellent. Comments: German,circa 1870,included is a soft metal cabinet with attached
gas lamp. Value Points: rarity factors include brown hair,fancy coiffure,and superb original
costume decorated with tulle,gold braid,green paper leaves,and silk flowers. The doll is shown in
Ackerman's Dolls in Miniature,page 80/81,described as "an elegant lady,stylish in every way".
