13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head with cafe-au-lait light brown complexion,amber brown glass
inset eyes,light brown brush-stroked brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with accented
lips,pierced ears,dark brown human hair over cork pate,French brown composition and wooden
fully-jointed body,wearing lovely antique costume and bonnet,antique black leather boots with
brown pom-poms,undergarments. Condition: generally excellent,tiny nose rub. Marks: Paris
Bebe Depose 3 (incised). Comments: Danel & Cie of Paris,circa 1890; the doll model was the
cause of a lawsuit between Jumeau and Danel,resulting in the Danel Paris Bebe being withdrawn
from the market; made for one year only,few models exist,and the brown-complexioned model
is extremely rare. Value Points: charming presence of the rare doll.
