14" (36 cm.) paper mache shoulder head with black sculpted hair curled behind her fully-
sculpted ears,short finger curls,dark painted upper glancing eyes,painted curly upper
lashes,closed mouth,muslin stitch-jointed body,leather arms,wearing fine antique
dress,undergarments,kidskin slippers. Condition: generally excellent,nose rub,body especially
clean and sturdy. Marks: Greiner's Improved Patent heads Pat. March 30th '58. (paper label).
Comments: Ludwig Greiner of Philadelphia,circa 1860. Value Points: desirable early patent date
model in charming size,antique costume. Along with canvas-covered wooden horse on original
wooden base with cast iron wheels and original saddle and harness.
