Description
4" (10 cm.) Polychromed sculpted bird with spread wings, fan-shaped tail feathers, unusual pose of side/back turned head, bald pate, enamel eyes, and long armature legs is posed upon wooden stand. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, the stylized painting of the wings is reminiscent of the carved angel wings of artist Ingaldo.
