Description
12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head, painted small blue downcast eyes, incised upper eyeliner lending a dreamy look, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with hint of shy smile, accent line between the lips, original brunette mohair bobbed wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed, socks and shoes, with little Steiff pup. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: c made in Germany 3 206. Comments: Kestner, circa 1910, the model was made with either glass eyes or this, more rarely found, painted eye variation. Value Points: rare model with most appealing expression, very choice bisque, original body and body finish.
